Robin Stewart has over 20 years of experience driving customer solutions in the Financial Services industry. He joined BMO in 2001 as a Research Analyst in Decision Support Services and has held leadership roles in Decision Support, Credit Cards Customer Acquisition and Development; Branch Operations, Investment Sales and Payments Operations.
In 2016, Robin took on responsibility for creating and leading BMO’s Small Business Credit Risk headquarters team, providing oversight to Small Business lending portfolios in both Canada and the United States and in 2020 joined the Canadian Business Banking team as Head of Strategy, Programs and Risk. Robin plays a prominent role in driving BMO’s Small Business Transformation strategy underway on both sides of the border with a particular focus on simplifying the customer experience, building customized solutions for key industry and client segments and leveraging data, analytics and digital to create customer value.
Robin holds an honours degree in Mathematics/Operations Research from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Queen’s University. Additionally he is a CFA charter holder and holds the CPA, CMA accounting designation from CPA Ontario.

I have been in the financial services industry for the last 30 years. With CIBC I have been in various advisory positions in both Retail and Business Banking helping clients achieve their short and long term financial goals through ‘four quadrant’ planning that included both credit and investments products. For the last two years in my position as ‘Senior Manager’ – Business Banking I lead a team of 8 Business Advisors in Scarborough & Durham. The goal is to deepen client relationships through advice-based conversations and provide solutions to meet cash management and lending needs of high value businesses.
