February 6-10: Ontario Advanced Manufacturing/Automotive Export Business Mission to Expo Manufactura Monterrey, Mexico 2023

Ontario, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, invites you to participate in the Advanced Manufacturing/Automotive Export Business Mission to Expo Manufactura Mexico 2023 and a business outreach program in Saltillo. Mexico is recovering with a goal to return to pre-pandemic production of 4 million lights vehicles produced annually and the local automotive supply chain is turning to automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 applications to become more competitive. As the largest manufacturing event in Northern Mexico, Expo Manufactura presents an excellent opportunity for innovative Ontario companies in the areas of advanced manufacturing (i.e. automation, tooling, Industry 4.0 solutions, etc.) to showcase their products and technology solutions and develop new relationships and partnerships with the growing automotive industry in Mexico.  The mission will take place in Monterrey, the heart of Mexico’s Northern and most industrial region. This region is also home to OEMs, including GM, Stellantis, Kia, Mercedes-Benz Buses and Navistar, Daimler, and Freightliner, as well as Tier 1 suppliers such as Metalsa, Nemak, Cuprum, Sisamex, Katcon, Tupy, Magna, Mahle, and others. The mission program will include Pre-mission webinar,1:1 market/export advice, Market and sector briefing, Ontario/Canada booth at Expo Manufactura trade show,B2B meetings & Networking, Industrial site visits in Monterrey and Saltillo. Apply by Jan 31: Ontario/Canada Programming at Mobile World Congress 2023, Barcelona, Spain

The Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade will be leading an Ontario ICT Export Business Mission to the Mobile World Congress, the largest Telecom industry trade show in the world. In 2022, MWC hosted 61,000 attendees from almost 200 countries, and this year’s attendance is estimated to be even higher.

The Canadian delegation will include provincial government representatives from British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec as well as national government representatives from organizations such as NRC-IRAP. As part of the Canada programming at MWC 2023, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) will host an Export Café on Sunday, February 26, where Trade Commissioners will meet one-on-one with Canadian clients interested in their markets. On Tuesday, February 28, the TCS will organize a networking reception at the Canada Pavilion to facilitate B2B connections with the world’s largest service providers. This Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) global business development program can give you the knowledge and connections you need to enter and succeed in this market. Upon acceptance to the New York CTA program, you will access: mentorship and strategic advice from a team of private sector executives, industry leaders and trade commissioners; dedicated support to pursue business and investment leads; networking opportunities and company showcase events, including a demo night at the end of the program; programs and workshops covering a range of topics that provide cyber-companies with skills and knowledge. Apply by Dec. 15: SoCal Black Tech Express

The Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles is proud to be launching the second edition of the SoCal Black Tech Express, an initiative offering High-Intensity Services and programming to early-stage and tech-focused Canadian companies that are led by entrepreneurs who are a member of the Black community. The SoCal Black Tech Express is designed to accelerate the growth of selected Canadian companies as they enter the Southwest U.S. market and navigate the local ecosystem of potential investors, partners, and customers. The cohort will prioritize black-owned/led companies that are actively raising or soon to enter another funding round. The program will run from late January to March 2023, and will conclude with in-person programming in Los Angeles, CA during the week of March 6th. The Government of Ontario is hosting a free webinar focused on opportunities in cybersecurity and security in Mexico. The enhanced cybersecurity ecosystem is crucial for the successful implementation of digitalization across the economy that the Government of Mexico is currently undertaking. The webinar will be presented by Professor Mario Arroyo, former Chief of the Planning, Prospective and Private Security Unit National Commission Mexico and currently Executive Director of the Iberomerican Institute for Leadership and Security in Mexico City. TCS at WEST 2023 Conference

WEST 2023, is the premier naval conference and exposition on the West Coast, co-sponsored by Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) International and the U.S. Naval Institute. WEST (Feb. 14-16) is the only event where the makers of platforms and designers of technologies can network, discuss and demonstrate their solutions in a single locale. While WEST is specifically targeted for the communications and electronics business areas within the Department of Defense (DoD), there is always a broader array of companies and interests represented that include: information technology and cyber-related companies in both hardware and software, platform prime contractors of ships, aircraft and ground systems, U.S. government research and development agencies from all services, and user commands from all services seeking latest technologies that might meet their needs. The TCS is organizing a business program for Canadian companies who can demonstrate their potential to succeed in this market and industry. TCS at Hello Tomorrow

Hello Tomorrow (Feb. 8-10) in Paris is a leading international event in the field of deep tech, gathering an exclusive audience at the intersection of massive social and environmental impact and business opportunities.
