2018 Procurement Business Advocate of the year

Reggie (Reginald) Humphrey has been Senior Manager, Supplier Diversity at General Motors (GM) since 2012, but has been with GM over two decades. Reggie is a key player in ensuring supplier diversity is front and centre at GM. Supplier diversity is a cornerstone for the organization and recently celebrated 50 years of its supplier diversity. GM was the first automotive OEM to establish a formal supplier diversity program in 1968 and works with over 300 certified diverse suppliers and small businesses in the U.S. and Canada.

As a supplier diversity advocate, Reggie promotes diversity and inclusivity through a variety of outreach activities professionally and personally. At GM, he supports 22 regional and national advocacy organizations and volunteers as a board member for three like-minded organizations, including CAMSC. He is a Chair of the Tuck Executive Education Program’s Advisory Board that sponsors more than 20 scholarships – two of these are awarded to CAMSC suppliers annually.

Reginald has presented on supplier diversity at multiple conferences including CAMSC, Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) and USPACC. He was also host of the annual GM Supplier Connections event this past August and panellist at the recent Windsor Cross Border B2B forum event.
