Ford Motor Company is very proud of the strength, longevity, and growth of our Supplier Diversity & Inclusion (SDI) program. Ford strives to drive continuous and intentional diverse sourcing efforts through internal and external incentives. Ford has continued to develop diverse suppliers that have not been represented historically and/or have been underutilized in areas with a large dollar volume of goods and services. This includes parts for vehicle production, raw materials, industrial materials, construction, machinery and tooling, transportation, and advertising. Some of Ford’s supplier diversity development programs are Mentor ME, Tier 2 WIN (Widening the Inclusion Network), MMSDC Collaborative Growth Initiative, Supplier Skills for Life and JTF (Joint Technology Framework). As they build out the global program, Ford is investigating partnerships with the following certifying bodies: MSD China (Minority Supplier Development China), MSDUK (Minority Supplier Development United Kingdom), SASDC (South African Supplier Diversity Council). Currently, they are accepting certification for Minority, Women, Veteran, Disabled, LGBTQ, Global Women, & Small Businesses. |
