March 18 (deadline): Samsung Mobile Advance (SMA) – Samsung Startup Incubation Program
SMA is a 6-month program specifically designed for US and Canadian startups to collaborate with Samsung to bring innovative ideas to realization. Submit a project proposal for building a pilot product to showcase your technology and how it can complement and differentiate Samsung’s product portfolio. Selected companies will receive up to $100K grant funding (no equity) and support to build a proof-of concept, culminating in potential partnership and investment opportunities after the program. March 14 – 25: Virtual Cybersecurity Export Business Mission to Colombia

The Ontario government, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, is leading a Virtual Cybersecurity Export Business Mission to Colombia that will take place March 14 – 25, 2022. Opportunities exist for Ontario’s Cybersecurity products and technologies in Colombia as the country progressively digitizes its service and infrastructure sectors. The increase in risks of data theft, service interruptions, particularly in utilities, and financial theft have grown in recent years, therefore the Colombian government and industry are seeking technologies to strengthen and make their data networks more resilient. The program will include a pre-mission webinar, a sector/market-specific briefing to provide updates on the current Cybersecurity trends and opportunities in Colombia, a customized B2B program for every Ontario company participating. March 15: India’s Edtech Sector Webinar: Pandemic Business Opportunities & Beyond

The webinar, organized in association with the India Didactics Association, will offer a backgrounder on the country’s online education market and opportunities for technology providers that have arisen due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The country’s edtech industry is expected to be worth U.S.$30 billion by 2030, with India boasting the world’s second-largest e-learning market after the U.S. India is ripe for online learning solutions. About 28.3% of its nearly 1.4-billion population is under 14 years of age. Moreover, the number of active Internet users is anticipated to reach 500 million by 2022, an increase from 350 million in 2019. The kindergarten to Grade 12 market has the greatest potential for online learning technologies, followed by the test preparation and online certification market. March 15-29: Virtual Business-to-Business Matchmaking Mission in Automotive sector to Mexico

Ontario, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, is accepting expressions of interest for a virtual B2B Matchmaking Mission to Mexico in the Automotive sector from March 15-29, 2022. The local automotive supply chain in Mexico is looking for solutions in automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 applications as they pursue their plans to enhance their competitiveness.  This Virtual B2B Matchmaking mission aims to introduce Ontario technologies, automation solutions and equipment, advanced tooling and machinery, capital equipment and systems to the leading automotive OEMs and Tier 1 and 2 companies in Mexico. The mission program includes a Pitch-preparation Workshop, curated B2B meetings between Ontario companies and appropriate private and public sector clients/partners in Mexico, a Market Preparation seminar which includes an overview of the automotive  sector in Mexico, and one-on-one consultation services. March 23 – April 6: Hybrid ICT Export Business Mission to Convergence India 2022

The Ontario government is organizing a hybrid export business mission for Ontario companies in the ICT sector to participate in Convergence India 2022. The event will offer companies an opportunity to promote their products and services, establish partnerships and target business opportunities in India. India aims to achieve a $1-trillion digital economy and a ICT market valued at $350 billion by 2025. The government’s Digital India initiative is intended to improve digital infrastructure and Internet connectivity, driving growth in the ICT sector and increasing opportunities for international companies. Delivered in collaboration with the Ontario Trade and Investment Offices in India, the mission package will include: 1:1 export advice and consultation; market intelligence and briefings; representation in the physical Ontario pavilion (the booth will be manned by Ontario government staff based in India); pre-arranged, curated B2B meetings (to take place virtually over several days); and a company listing (as an exhibitor) in the delegate directory. **Only Ontario government staff will attend the physical trade show and manage the Ontario booth (March 23-25) due to Covid-19-related international travel restrictions; Ontario companies will participate in virtual B2B meetings.** The mission costs are TBD. June 7-9: Energy Export Business Mission to 2022 Global Energy Show in Calgary

The Government of Ontario invites Ontario companies in oil sands, gas, LNG, petrochemicals, nuclear, hydrogen, renewable energy, geothermal, energy storage, transmission and distribution sub-sectors to join an export business mission to 2022 Global Energy Show. As North America’s Leading Energy Event, the Global Energy Show is the largest B2B exhibition and conference engaging with industry buyers and sellers, stakeholders and partners, CEOs and young professionals together to share knowledge and fuel innovation in the ever-changing energy landscape. Participating Ontario firms will enhance brand awareness, generate real business leads and enjoy great exposure by exhibiting in the Ontario Pavilion, networking with visitors and conference attendees as well as meeting domestic and international buyers and business partners through the B2B program. June 20-23: ICT Export Business Mission to 2022 Collision in Toronto

The Government of Ontario invites Ontario companies in artificial intelligence/machine learning, fintech, cybersecurity, sensor-based technology, digital health, enterprise-tech, logistic/supply-chain tech, industrial IoT and other ICT sub-sectors to join a digital export business mission to 2022 Collision. Collision is North America’s fastest growing technology conference that attracts more than 25,000 leaders from the global technology community every year. The 2020 version of Collision from Home attracted 32,000 attendees including 850 investors and more than 1,000 start-ups from 140 countries. Two participation options are available, based on your business status and interests: Stream 1: General Admission Tickets for Established Businesses; Stream 2: Start-up package for qualified start-ups (criteria to be provided).
