A BIG Thank You to All Attendees and Sponsors!
I would like to extend a special thanks to all our Attendees, Sponsors and Speakers whose participation contributed greatly to the success of our conference.
Aim high’ was our theme and we kicked off the event, with high energy, great participation and high expectations for continued growth moving forward.
At this year’s Procurement Fair, we hosted more than 300 large corporations, suppliers and government agencies. This fair is about supplier diversity from both sides of the table – corporate and supplier. Half a billion dollars’ worth of business is secured annually and it starts here. It’s about making that business connection to benefit both sides.
Since 2004, the fair has been matching some of North America’s largest corporations with Aboriginal and minority-owned suppliers. To date, corporate members have spent over $1.5 billion (and climbing) with CAMSC certified suppliers. The event started with an evening reception followed by morning workshops and concluded with pre-arranged meetings between corporations and suppliers in areas ranging from IT, HR recruiting, and logistics.
HIGH ENERGY
The networking reception, sponsored by BMO, was a high energy social event where everyone enjoyed refreshments with new and old contacts. Salsa dancing and live music complemented the evening.
HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL
The breakfast and panel discussion, Accelerating Opportunities for Success, sponsored by Kellogg, kicked off the day on a high note.
AIM HIGH
Workshops, Meeting Marketplace appointments, and a luncheon sponsored by GM made for a full day on April 15. Luncheon keynote Barbara Anderson highlighted Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games success in including diverse suppliers in delivering the Games.
