BC Aboriginal company wins CAMSC award and National Recognition for exports

ELLEN MELCOSKY HAS EARNED NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR HER LITTLE MISS CHIEF GOURMET PRODUCTS INC.

Little Miss Chief Gourmet Products Inc. was recently named Small Business of the Year by the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council. The recognition was very exciting, says company president and CEO Ellen Melcosky.

“The awards were presented in Toronto at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and it was amazing,” Melcosky recalls. Following hard on the heels of the national accolades, was a nomination for a BC Aboriginal Business Award for outstanding achievement.

Little Miss Chief manufactures Smoked Salmon Products and exports to a global market. CAMSC certifies aboriginal and minority businesses and plugs them into a global supply chain.
