Indo-Canadian-owned companies

(Toronto, April 13) – The Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) and the Indo- Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC), will sign a memorandum of understanding  (MOU) to kick off the CAMSC Diversity Procurement Fair on April 13-14thth in Toronto.  The MOU will see the two organizations work closely in pursuit of the goal of introducing Indo-Canadian-owned companies into the supply chain of major corporations in Canada and the U.S.

Vinay Nagpal , President of ICCC says  “ South Asians now represent more than 4% of Canada’s population with those of Indian origin making up the greater part of this number.   The Indo-Canadian community is highly entrepreneurial, and ICCC members are interested  in accessing business opportunities across North America with CAMSC corporate members.   We look forward to partnering with CAMSC to collaborate on projects that strengthen business opportunities for ICCC members.”

“Aboriginal and minority businesses represent a strong and growing source of competitive and innovative suppliers” says Cassandra Dorrington, President of CAMSC.   “We welcome the opportunity to work more closely with ICCC and  Indo-Canadian owned businesses.   As supply chains globalize, CAMSC corporate members are actively seeking to include competitive suppliers that are representative of their changing customer base and can also work with them in the global markets in which they operate”.
