CBRE; one of our corporate members is looking to recruit an experienced diversity, equity, and inclusion specialist to join the GWS DE&I team, based in Canada.

The role holder will lead and oversee the delivery of several highly visible programs across GWS Canada, in alignment with the global DE&I Strategy.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading and project managing the implementation of several key DE&I Initiatives locally, while also supporting global priorities
  • Consulting with the local business leaders and People team in developing and integrating DE&I goals and strategies into business and planning processes and practices
  • Play a key role in the coordination and collaboration of communications and alignment with the People priorities.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Indigenous relations, specifically supporting our approach to advance Reconciliation for Indigenous Canadians, by providing cultural awareness and learning opportunities for our people and to raise greater awareness. Focus on progressing actions to implement our Reconciliation Action Plan and meet PAR goals.
  • Leading the development of quality diverse supplier relationships, to support our goal of increased diverse spend.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of CBRE’s Supplier Diversity Program including policies, procedures, objectives, processes, and communications to increase the opportunities for and the utilization of diverse suppliers
  • Assist in developing annual and multi-year programs to help CBRE meet Supplier Diversity goals and continuously improve
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Tier 2 reporting program. Focus on Tier 2 spend improvement, analysis, prime supplier onboarding, and general reporting management
  • Work with Strategic Sourcing Teams to identify business unit opportunities to utilize diverse suppliers. Includes understanding supply requirements, and identifying/engaging qualified diverse suppliers for consideration in sourcing events
  • Track metrics on the following items:
    • Number of diverse supplier meetings
    • Number of suppliers recommended to Sourcing Managers
    • Number of Sourcing Managers meetings (and results)
    • List of Sourcing Managers trained on the database
    • List of diverse suppliers that are included in RFPs through Supplier Diversity Program efforts
    • List of diverse suppliers that are awarded RFPs through Supplier Diversity Program efforts
  • Attend and represent CBRE at various local and national diversity conferences and meetings. Coordinate event schedules and the participation of other CBRE employees and Business Units (e.g., matchmaking events to identify qualified candidates)
  • Identify and help implement opportunities to make it simple for diverse suppliers to apply/qualify/partner with CBRE
  • Support efforts to build relationships with various local and regional diversity council organizations
