About the Program

The Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) is proud to announce we are working with TD Bank Group and the Tent Partnership for Refugees to introduce a new supplier diversity certification program for business owners and entrepreneurs who recently arrived to Canada as refugees.

This program will provide tools and resources to help certified suppliers from the refugee community to grow their business.

Who can apply

To become certified, applicants must have the following criteria:

1. Must operate in Canada
2. Must be a for-profit business
3. Must supply products or services to other businesses
4. Must be 51% owned, managed and controlled by an entrepreneur with a refugee background
5. Owner(s) must be a Canadian citizen(s) or permanent resident or possess a UNHRC Number
6. Business owner(s) must be within 10 years of having been approved as a refugee in Canada by the Canadian government and have corresponding documentation

Benefits to certification

CAMSC will connect certified suppliers to a wide range of opportunities, help strengthen and expand their business, and advocate on their behalf for diverse supplier inclusion.

Certified suppliers can build relationships with CAMSC’s corporate members and other certified suppliers, join training sessions and workshops, and develop skills to successfully win the bid.

We are excited to announce that, upon launch and for the first 3 years of the program, TD will be sponsoring the
yearly fee for all eligible applicants that apply for and renew their program certification.
