Recently Champion Products Corp, a large MBE distributor of MRO products, with operations in both Windsor and the GTA, proved once again that persistence in the pursuit of business opportunities pays off.
Champion, one of over twenty CAMSC MBE suppliers in the Windsor-Essex area, has recently entered into a partnership with major facility cleaning and support services firm Team Industrial Solutions. The two firms first came into contact several years ago when Champion was an MBE Supplier exhibitor at the annual Chrysler Matchmaker event held at Chrysler LLC headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
While the initial contact didn’t result in immediate business dealings, it did result in mutual awareness and open the door for future dialogue between Champion and Team Industrial.
Late last year Champion CEO Ashok Sood met with Team Industrial CEO, Clint Griffin and company President John Soulliere to discuss a potentially mutually beneficial partnership. This relationship would take full advantage of Champion’s supplier capabilities, Team Industrial’s market reach, and the partnership’s MBE supplier status with a number of major customers that support supplier diversity, including Chrysler LLC.
The collaboration between the two firms began to pay dividends early this year with initial sizeable sales and deliveries taking place this past February. Both firms are actively building on this initial success and expect to significantly expand the volume of their mutual business dealings in the months ahead.
