Supplier Diversity: Turning the Page on a Good Year
As Dana finishes analyzing and reporting for 2019, we can say it was a good year in Supplier Diversity. Most business units achieved or exceeded their supplier diversity spend goals. We ended 2019 with more than $233M in diverse spend; surpassing our total goal by $20.8M including third-party certifications and self-certified diverse suppliers. Dana’s Supplier Diversity spend growth continued in the double digits at 16%, exceeding the industry standard of 7-8%.
Prime influences in advancing Dana’s spend results were accredited to our expansion with large diverse suppliers, supplier and spend maintenance and diverse supplier category additions. A flourishing supplier diversity program cannot be achieved without the intentional efforts of our buyers and plants across the globe. Every person and Dana site contributed to achieving our 2019 goal. The following is a top snapshot of how 2019 spend finished.
