Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year

Emerging Entrepreneur Award supports the development of emerging diverse entrepreneurs to create and grow an innovative start-up with potential social and economic impact in Canada. The Emerging Entrepreneur award aims to honor and empower young entrepreneurs (under 40 years of age) who have implemented commercially viable and sustainable products or services, with stellar results.  This category is open to businesses owned (51% or more) by visible minorities* and who may not be CAMSC members.  
* Visible minorities are persons other than Aboriginal peoples, who are non-Caucasian in race or non-white in colour. In practice, the Government of Canada includes the following groups: Chinese, South Asian, Black, Filipino, Latin American, Southeast Asian, Arab, West Asian, Korean, Japanese (as defined by the Employment Equity Act and Statistics Canada).
