CAMSC’s gala is an opportunity for us to share the extraordinary successes of our network members and to recognize them through seven different award categories.
Sip on your favorite wine or cocktail and glam up! Join our virtual Business Achievement Awards Gala on Thursday, September 30th, 4:00 PM (ET) from the comfort of your homes. Listen to the extraordinary stories of our nominees and find out who will take home top honour in each category.

- Participants should fill up the nomination form to either nominate themselves or nominate their peers for anyone one of the award categories based on the description that applies to them the best. Please refer to the award categories below for nomination.

Supplier of the Year Award
An Aboriginal or Minority-owned business that has successfully demonstrated growth in sales and employment, consistently providing high quality products and services at competitive pricing, offering innovative solutions and significantly delivering greater benefits through growth and development to their community. The award recipient will also be offered a scholarship to participate in a Tuck MBE program sponsored by General Motors. (CAMSC Certified Supplier Only)
Small Business of the Year Award
An Aboriginal or Minority-owned business with 50 or fewer employees, based on exemplary overall performance in sales, export sales growth, customer relationships, innovation and major accomplishments during the previous year. The award recipient will be offered a scholarship to participate in a Tuck MBE program sponsored by General Motors. (CAMSC Certified Supplier Only)
Technology Innovation Award
An Aboriginal or Minority owned business that stands out for its innovative new technology-based product or service. The product will have recognized performance in operations, design and market success establishing Canada’s international reputation for innovation and excellence. (CAMSC Certified Supplier Only)
Corporation of the Year Award
A corporation that actively includes certified Aboriginal and minority suppliers in their procurement opportunities continuously explores and assists in the development of Aboriginal and minority suppliers, promotes supplier diversity and business development within their corporation and to their vendors including other business organizations. A corporation must be nominated by a supplier.
Tier 1 Champion of Supplier Diversity
A business-to-business Tier 1 corporation that actively supports its clients’ economic inclusion goals by including certified Aboriginal and minority suppliers in their practices and processes providing procurement opportunities. They have encouraged the development of Aboriginal and minority suppliers, actively promoting supplier diversity across their corporation. Must be nominated by corporate or government clients.
Procurement Business Advocate of the Year Award
An individual who acts as a catalyst and is devoted to the promotion of supplier diversity through outreach efforts and activities and is respected by their peers for advocating supplier diversity in Canada.
A company/organization working collaboratively with CAMSC members, suppliers and other organizations to strengthen Aboriginal and minority business growth and facilitate supplier diversity.
Two awarded recipients - Supplier of the Year and Small Business of the Year - will get a scholarship to an MBE program at an Ivy League research university in Hanover, New Hampshire. Click Here to learn more about the program.
