Due the Covid-19 pandemic placing major constraints on international business travel, the SASDC is excited to host its first Virtual Inbound Business Mission to South Africa from the 09th to 11th November 2021. Participating in the SASDC trade mission is a great way to explore the dynamic South African market. The mission is comprised of a 4-hour programme for each day of the mission made up of 2 hours for trade related information presentations followed by 1 hour of breakaways sessions and 1 hour of online network and virtual exhibition engagements.

Why South Africa?

The South Africa of today is one of the most sophisticated and promising emerging markets globally. The unique combination of a highly developed first-world economic infrastructure and a huge emergent market economy has given rise to a strong entrepreneurial and dynamic trade and investment environment. Besides being ideally positioned as a gateway to Sub-Saharan Africa, key reasons for doing business in South Africa include its sound regulatory framework of recognised international standards for commerce and business, and South Africa is a signatory to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) which will boost intra-Africa trade, creating a market of more than 1 billion people with a GDP of $2.6 trillion.
