Thyagi DeLanerolle, the Co-founder and CEO of OOt Social Health Inc., is not just a seasoned trailblazer in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Software as a Service (SaaS) industries but also a visionary leader driven by her unique life experiences. Born in Sri Lanka and immigrating to Canada at the age of 5, Thyagi’s journey allowed her to see the world through a different lens, providing her with a profound understanding of loneliness to its core and the human need for belonging. This deep-seated desire to address the instinctual need for belonging served as the catalyst for Thyagi in the creation of OOt Social Health Inc. OOt is a revolutionary human connectivity platform that Thyagi co-founded to combat the alarming rise of loneliness in society. Drawing from her personal experiences as an immigrant, Thyagi understood the challenges of feeling disconnected and isolated, which fuelled her commitment to making a difference. Thyagi’s career has been marked by driving business growth through unique sales techniques and strategies. She has led critical projects worth over $55 million, earning numerous awards and industry recognition. Thyagi’s educational background includes graduating from the University of Toronto’s cloud computing program, completing programs like the PowerMBA and the Founder Institute, and being an alumnus of the MergeLane Accelerator. As the visionary leader of OOt Social Health Inc., Thyagi DeLanerolle continues to make waves in the tech industry, addressing the fundamental human need for belonging in an era marked by isolation. Her journey as an immigrant informs her mission, and her career is a testament to her tenacity, business acumen, and unwavering commitment to innovation. Catherine Keill has more than 25 years of executive level leadership and strategic communications experience holding senior positions in private, public and not-for-profit organizations. Catherine’s professional experience is unique in the Alberta communications and marketing community and, when combined with her community development experience, provides clients with the most robust solutions for any project. 

Catherine is a seasoned strategic communications professional who has led high-functioning teams to success. Her deep understanding of strategic planning and strategic communications linked to clear and measurable outcomes will be assets to assist their team’s future plans. Catherine has worked in several government and corporate roles across Canada leading communications programs of all size, scope and sensitivity. Catherine will bring energy, enthusiasm and wisdom about government relationship building and decision-making based on decades in the political realm at all orders of government and with experience in both senior political and administration roles. 

Catherine holds membership in several professional associations including the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2). In addition, Catherine has both a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Ottawa, and a Master’s Degree in Communication and Technology from the University of Alberta.  She has also completed the Management Essentials Program, Executive Education at the UofA. With practical and theoretical communications, marketing and stakeholder relations experience Catherine is energized by helping clients achieve positive results for amazing outcomes. 

Purush Cannane is the founder and CEO of Greenii Inc. He is a mechanical engineer with 16 years of experience. He has started a couple of startups before. This is his third startup.  He is an innovator and environmental enthusiast. Greenii Inc. was founded to solve plastic pollution and carbon emission problems.  

Greenii Inc. is a manufacturing-based company in Brampton and Halifax, NS.  We sell Kraft paper bags, Branding or customized logo printing, crinkle paper shreds, tissue papers, gift boxes, and our upcycled paper bags using clean newsprints, and flyers without pulping bleaching, or adding any chemicals. Our products are truly eco-friendly and better than compared to traditional Kraft paper bags. We are a social enterprise to reduce plastic waste, and pollution and create local jobs. Our company has 450 retailer customers (B2B) in Canada and USA. Currently, we are developing the world’s first semi-automatic machine to swiftly make paper bags from any newsprints, magazines, and flyers irrespective of their thickness, size, or folding. fold the paper and glue it. We also hired 3 immigrants/newcomers women to make bags for us. Our machines can make 500 to 600 paper bags per hour. Due to the country-wide ban on single-use plastic bags, the demand for eco-friendly paper bags is increasing at a rapid rate. 

 

Brian K. Oglesby is the Interim President/CEO of the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council (EMSDC). He returns to EMSDC, where he served as Vice President, after several years in private practice as a consultant and a partner in a startup. A Philadelphia native, Brian has a career that spans multiple industries, government, public service, economic and Workforce Development, and the founding of a private consulting practice as an economist and business developer and planner. Known for formulating strategies and solutions that draw from a broad range of disciplines, Brian has had the privilege of engaging organizations and creating long-standing relationships
