City of Toronto Launches DonateTO Portal

Good morning,

Yesterday afternoon, Mayor John Tory announced a new City of Toronto web portal, DonateTO, for businesses and residents wishing to donate products, services, or funds to the City in support of its efforts to combat COVID-19. At this time, the website is receiving offers for personal protective equipment (PPE), goods, services, space & accommodations, as well as direct cash donations. For businesses wishing to help, but unable to provide their services or goods for free, there is also a low-cost offer option. Those wishing to donate food or their time are provided with links to the appropriate community resources.

To visit the DonateTO website, please click here.

More than $1.5 million in donations have been received by the City of Toronto over the last few weeks, including cookware, cleaning products, towels, linens, and bedding supplies. Managed by the City of Toronto’s Donation Coordination Task Force, products, services, and funds are being allocated in cooperation with the Emergency Operations Centre and Purchasing and Materials Management Division. A tax receipt will be issued for all cash donations of $20 or more.

If you have goods or services that you would like to provide to the City and do not see the appropriate channel to do so on the DonateTO website, please contact us. Sussex has been assisting many of our valued clients to navigate City Hall throughout the emergency period and can help make critical connections.
