The Ontario Government continues to support Ontario companies to recover and/or further develop their interprovincial and international markets as a means to get back to business. This includes 1-on-1 export advice, webinars focused on market/sector intelligence, and facilitation of international/interprovincial business connections. In this edition:

January 25: Meet Frost Bank, USAA, IPSecure, Blackberry and more with B2B meetings and pitching session (register by Jan 12)

This webinar and B2B meeting program will feature six senior executives from U.S.-based Frost Bank (150 branches), USAA (32,000 employees), and IPSecure (U.S. government cyber contractor) as well as Ontario’s own multinational Blackberry, the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association of Canada, and the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network. Attendees from both regions can also apply for B2B meetings with the speakers as well as amongst themselves. Note: only those companies attending the webinar will be eligible to request B2Bs – details after registering. This program is of interest to companies in the cybersecurity, fintech, connected car, and other advance technologies in both Texas and Ontario. Attendees can hear thought leaders discuss opportunities in their markets, apply for B2B meetings with the speakers and be selected for elevator pitches, and request meetings with fellow attendees from either jurisdiction. The program is organized by the Ontario Trade & Investment Office in Dallas and the City of San Antonio, with support from the Export Growth and International Representation Division – Government of Ontario. January 26: U.S. Public Procurement for Canadian Companies webinar

The Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC is pleased to announce the launch of its “U.S. Public Procurement for Canadian Companies” webinar series. The goal of this series is to help Canadian SMEs better understand and pursue opportunities in the U.S. state, local, and federal government marketplaces. The Ontario Canada Quantum Partnership Forum – Europe, hosted by Ontario in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada and Ontario’s European Trade and Investment offices in Paris, London and Munich, will bring together some of Ontario’s most innovative organizations and Quantum technology companies. During the event there will be an opportunity for six (6) Ontario Quantum technology companies to deliver a short 7 minute pitch to a European audience. The audience will include potential clients/partners including companies, organizations and other key industry stakeholders. January 31-February 2 : Virtual Mining Supply Mission to Australia

The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) is one of the largest and most influential mining events in Australia. The IMARC program covers all aspects of the mining supply chain, from exploration, to investment, production to optimization through to new technologies and global opportunities, alongside discussions on health and safety, renewable energy, critical minerals, and sustainability. IMARC 2021 will be a hybrid event, welcoming international attendees from more than 100 countries via its online platform. January/February: Virtual Cybertech Tel Aviv 2022 Mission with B2B Programming

The Ontario government is organizing a virtual mission to Cybertech Tel Aviv 2022 which is taking place on January 25 – 27, 2022. Cybertech Tel Aviv is a leading international exhibition, conference and B2B platform for cyber technology. Cybertech Tel Aviv 2022 is comprised of an in-person conference and a virtual B2B platform where companies working in the areas of cybersecurity and innovation (AI, IoT, fintech, data protection, Identity Trust, etc) can interact and connect. As a member of the Ontario delegation, you will gain access to the Cybertech Tel Aviv virtual B2B platform and live streamed in-person event. In addition, Ontario cyber technology companies will have access to an in-market B2B service provider to help set-up custom B2B meetings to support efforts with entering the Israeli market. February 14: Digital Health Innovation Programme (Germany) – apply by January 10

InsurTech Hub Munich (ITHM) is a non-profit innovation platform uniting international insurance and cross-industry partners, start-ups, investors, academia, and governmental entities in their quest to make the industry future-proof. ITHM is appointed as one of twelve de:hub digital innovation epicenters by the German government. With the second edition of the Digital Health Innovation Programme, the ITHM community of leading health insurers and tech firms is looking for cutting-edge Digital Health start-ups to define the next frontier in digital health together. The 8-week programme offers interdisciplinary collaborations and interactions with corporations, SMEs, investors, universities, research institutes, and governmental as well as non-governmental organisations. February 16: Canadian fintech program at Fintech&Crypto Summit in San Francisco

Global Affairs Canada in Silicon Valley has negotiated discounted access passes for Canadian technology companies to attend the 1-day Fintech&Crypto Summit in San Francisco. Instead of the US$1,200 regular price, the discount passes would cost US$500 for the first six (6) approved companies. Passes (1 per company) will include participation in the B2B program, in-person attendance, and shared table in the exhibit hall. At Fintech&Crypto Summit, global financial institutions and financial-oriented technology companies and their cutting-edge fintech vendors mix with start-ups and investors, each committed to working with new partners to move the fintech industry into the future. February 15-17 (tbc):  Ontario Export Business Mission to 2022 Globe Forum

The Ontario government is organizing an export business mission to 2022 Globe Forum to assist Ontario companies supplying technology, equipment and services related to cleantech, clean energy, smart mobility and electric vehicles. The proposed components of the trade mission may include an exhibition booth, curated matchmaking, pitch and networking session and access to Forum sessions. February 24-26: Ontario Healthcare Export Business Mission to Medical Japan 2022 (Hybrid)

The Ontario government is organizing an export business mission to Medical Japan for Ontario companies supplying technology, medical devices and medical equipment to the healthcare market. Medical Japan is Japan’s leading trade show consisting of specialised shows for Medical, Elderly Care and Pharmacy industry. A large number of visitors specialised in medical and elderly care industries including importers/distributors will be at the trade show floor and have active discussions with exhibitors. An Ontario pavilion will be hosted at the trade show to accommodate Ontario exhibitors (i.e. either physical exhibitor or virtual exhibitor).
