The 50 – 30 Challenge launches two initiatives

Today, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, announced the launch of two initiatives:

Request for Proposals for the What Works Toolkit
 
Organizations are invited to apply to the Request for Proposal for the What Works Toolkit being posted online on Canada’s Buy and Sell website https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tender-notice/PW-21-00958862. The successful applicant will be responsible to build a toolkit which will include resources for the recruitment and mentorship of underrepresented board members and employees, as well as anti-racism, anti-harassment, inclusive workplace strategies, and more. The toolkit will also feature examples from Canadian organizations, profiling their diversity successes, for participants to use as models in developing their own diversity plans.

Applications will be closed on July 12, 2021.

Call for Applications of the 50 – 30 Challenge Ecosystem Fund

Secondly, the Call for Applications of the 50 – 30 Challenge Ecosystem Fund is also being launched online on Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s website https://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/icgc.nsf/eng/07728.html. Through this process, the government will be providing funding to select organizations that will work with Challenge participants in meeting their goals by providing guidance, tools and other diversity supports specific to participants’ unique needs.
